Marie Wilson, Photographer, has had more than 250 articles published with her photos in magazines around the world. She founded and published Buying The Best, a colorful magazine in Perth, Western Australia and Carmel, California.

She has written and published several books, including Arcosanti Archetype, The Rebirth of Cities by Renaissance Thinker Paolo Soleri, A Taste of Carmel, The Chefs of Sydney and The Chefs of Perth plus a booklet entitled: Love Your Eyes, How to Improve Your Eyesight Naturally!

Marie has conducted publishing seminars in Carmel, Sacramento, Phoenix and Heidelberg, Germany. And she offers private consultations for those who are interested in writing and either self-publishing books or finding agents and publishers.

With an interest in alternative health since being diagnosed with an incurable illness, Marie is a Wellness Coach and an Intuitive. She is also a healer, speaker and Tour Guide taking those seeking healing of mind, body and spirit on Spiritual Healing Journeys to Brazil to see John of God. She has traveled to more than 40 countries and lived for long periods in several countries.

Having lived aboard a boat for many years in the Sacramento Delta, she is an avid supporter of keeping our rivers, and riverbanks, safe, pristine and available to everyone.

Training

My first published photo was taken with an Instamatic camera. The magazine publisher liked the article but hated the photo, even though it was published. The note that came with payment advised me to take some photography classes. “If you become a good photographer, we will continue to publish your articles,” read the cryptic statement. Soon I enrolled in a photography course. The photography teacher was ill so I received my training from an art teacher, Patrick Dullanty, a well-known Sacramento artist, He didn’t just teach photography---he taught ‘art’! I am forever indebted to him for any artistic flair that I have as a photographer.
